Several years ago, Sunrise School Division participated in the Report and Review process with the Manitoba Education Inclusion Support Branch. As a result, transition planning and student specific outcomes on IEPs were identified as areas that required attention. This was based on a small sampling of student plans and there was no data to confirm division- wide trends or to measure change in practices.
clevr provided a great deal of flexibility and search functions which provided valuable data to divisional and school teams. Sharing the data had a dramatic impact on their reporting capabilities as they were able to identify an overwhelming focus on academic goals and far too little attention on transition goals. The data was able to be shared in ways that did not identify specific schools or case managers. There has been a dramatic shift away from academic goals toward more appropriate transition goals. With clevr, the Division is able to improve programming for students and make evidence based decisions.
